It was the same old shit different day only, the content in the college is still the same, I actually don’t wanted to say too much about it, as it can be an interesting story when I got there, but I just want to have some space to rant~! That is exactly why weblog appear for people who use internet a lot :lol:

Anyway, since the first day the induscity project brief came down, it was slipped into a book as a bookmark no one in the group bother to have a second look, they all tend to forgot what is the point. Speaking of research, they did a totally wrong research and they don’t want to listen, they filter all my shit thought that it was unnecessary, and yet, not understand the brief in depth :? Concepts and ideas were all over their mind, but company itself? No, beside the brand name…

I head off to the internet, did a questionnaire, hoping to get a hard fact so it can save them and their idea, so next time we can save ourself by showing the evidence. One thing I haven’t tell them though, but I don’t think they’ll listen even if I tell them now, as the idea already final, sad shit! They forgot about the brief, they thought cracking the brief is to think of an idea for the brief! What kind of advertising student is this? Cracking a brief means understand the brief 100% and know the exact problem of the company and build the company brand, not simply just create a few idea for the company and totally put away from the brief!

The brief in depth means “I want to attract young people as well as old consumers which is 30 year old above but our brand looks old and unfashion” and they want a re-branding, it means nothing wrong with the whole company DNA, only the Identity is wrong. They all go “re-brand this shitty company to appear for young people” done their job! They start changing the whole company DNA and Identity to young people [Full stop] What kind of mindset is this?

Speaking of idea and execution, I asked, why you want this to be like this? As I want another way because of the point that we’re doing all these, but their answer is way simple, because it look more like a product [Full stop] No reason, no point :? What kind of advertising student is this? I wonder nowadays which advertising student will be more initiative, and most importantly, are these advertising students going out working in the big agency next time?

    typical students who wana looks smart with wonderful kicking ass ideas but empty strategy. save your breath from lecturing them.
